The Homestay Program
4 excellent reasons to choose the Homestay Program:

- Staying with a host family while you are studying is a good choice.
About The Homestay Program
- Friendly, English speaking homes.
- The average monthly fee for room and board is $650 Canadian.
- Fee includes 3 meals per day and a private bedroom.
- Lethbridge Homestay Services holds your refundable deposit of $600 Canadian. Almost the only reason damage deposits are not returned is failure to provide 30 days notice BEFORE you leave your homestay.
- Lethbridge Homestay Services charges a $200 + 5% federal tax placement fee
- Total homestay fees $810 including taxes ($600 is the refundable damage deposit)
- Your homestay fee includes Lethbridge airport pick up either by your host family or Lethbridge Homestay Service.
Students are expected to stay with the family for the full semester.
Lethbridge Homestay Services will match each student with your Homestay family. We have seen all the homes and met all the families.
If you would like to take advantage of the homestay option, please complete the Homestay Registration form. Return it to us with a photo of yourself and a letter of introduction for your host family.
Please Note: Although we do our best, it is not always possible to meet all preferences listed by students when selecting host families.
Lethbridge Homestay Services will look after most contract details including refundable deposits. Deposits may be paid by credit card.
REMEMBER – 30 days notice must be given to your homestay family and to Lethbridge Homestay Service in order to receive your damage deposit refund. Refunds are made in the same way they were paid.
